Johnson King has been selected by the Holmes Group as its “Best Specialist International Consultancy to Work For 2008”.  To be presented at the SABRE Awards in Stockholm in May 2009, the award reflects Johnson King’s ongoing investment and commitment to providing the best possible working environment for its staff.  Judged based on direct feedback from all employees, the award is a massive achievement for Johnson King and adds to its impressive roster of award wins, including SC Magazine’s Best PR Company 2008, and the Sabre Awards European Technology Consultancy of the Year 2007.

Hot on the heels of this came the news that Johnson King has been shortlisted for two SABRE awards. The first, for consumer tech campaign of the year, reflects Johnson King’s work to create a buzz around mobile phone trade-in website, Fonebank.  Using the ongoing economic crisis as the basis for the campaign, Johnson King secured high-profile coverage across broadcast, national, regional and trade publications and successfully encouraged users to part with their old mobile phones for some extra credit crunch cash.

The second nomination – for Corporate Social Responsibility campaign of the year – saw Johnson King work with enterprise data protection expert PGP Corporation, appealing to technology companies and consumers alike to support the acknowledged birthplace of modern computing – Bletchley Park.  A high profile launch event ensured the success of this event, moving Bletchley Park further up the media’s agenda and encouraging a series of donations to the cause.
