In support of Force10’s new Open Cloud Networking (OCN) strategy – the company’s global vision to transform cloud and conventional data centres – Johnson King worked closely with the networking specialist on a targeted campaign to brief key media and analysts across the UK and Germany during April/May.
The OCN framework, announced to great global acclaim, aims to revolutionise the way in which data centres are built, scaled and managed, and is based on Force10’s belief that the networking industry needs to move to an open, non-proprietary model – ultimately, aligning itself with the computing and storage industries.
Johnson King secured a raft of briefings for Force10’s senior executives with analysts and journalists across the data centre, networking and enterprise infrastructure space. In total, UK outreach consisted of nine individual briefings, whilst in Germany, a further seven participants were secured for a media roundtable.
The campaign resulted in impressive coverage around both the announcement and the company’s increased standing in the market – particularly against competitors such as Cisco and Juniper – providing Force10 with a strong basis for implementing the new vision in Europe.
