Johnson King is working with Verne Global, which operates the world’s first 100% renewable-energy powered data centre.
Verne Global owns and operates a data centre campus in Keflavik, Iceland. The data centre has a dual source of cheap, geothermal and hydroelectric power, making it 100% carbon neutral.
Johnson King will focus on gaining exposure for Verne Global among high level national, business and trade press, where the firm’s messaging on energy issues and operating expenditure is already resonating strongly. Verne Global is working closely with data centre infrastructure provider, COLT, that provides the hardware that Verne Global’s data centre is built on. The company officially announced the availability of data centre services at its Keflavik site on the 5th of October, and has already announced its first customer.
